VMO + Johannes Haase

Violent Magic Orchestra is an Ultitmate Extreme Supreme Art project that uses humans, strobe lights, smoke machines, and intense visual art to create an all-encompassing, smoke-filled, luminous blend of techno, black metal, gabber, hardcore, noise, and contemporary music. They have been invited to live houses, clubs, galleries, and festivals all over the world to make bodies dance, throw people into mosh pits, trip people brains into fantasy, white out people vision, destroy people hearing, and invite their audiences into a new dimension and new world. RAINBOW FROM ANGEL CORPSE This is the latest version of DEATH RAVE, in which the boundaries between body and brain, reality and fantasy, as presented by VMO, disappear and merge. Devil’s numbers and Xenakis’ mathematics. The whereabouts of angelic corpses. Rainbow-colored despair. People dance and frolic in dreams of extreme colors and monochromes. It is the beginning of a hopeful apocalypse as the brain reaches the end of consciousness and the body returns to the heavens.

Johannes Haase spielt Yuri Umemoto
Violinist Johannes Haase explores contemporary soundscapes using electric and modern instruments. He collaborates with, among others, Fred Frith, Johanna Borchert, and the artists of Ciudad Abierta. Johannes studied in Bremen and Basel (MA in Free Improvisation). He is the winner of the John Cage Prize from the John Cage Organ Foundation in Halberstadt; in 2011, he was awarded the Klaus Huber Special Prize by the University of the Arts Bremen for his commitment to contemporary music. He is a co-founder of the Kommas Ensemble (Cologne) and the string quartet PULSE. He has collaborated with the Goethe-Institut in India and Chile and has given masterclasses and workshops at various universities in South America, Europe, and Asia ; he has also served as a lecturer at the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Academy of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

Japanese composer Yuri Umemoto (born in Tokyo in 2002) is considered one of the most exciting and exceptional talents in contemporary music. He breaks down the boundaries of the classical avant-garde by radically fusing traditional notation and chamber music with digital pop culture, club sounds, ambient music, and the aesthetics of Japanese otaku culture (anime, J-pop, video games). Umemoto’s works often incorporate sampling, prepared instruments, and artificial voices generated by AI or anime, which blend with a background in Catholic boys’ choir
and collage-like fragments of everyday life. His innovative aesthetic has enjoyed international success at progressive European institutions (such as the soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop and the Akademie Schloss Solitude) and culminated in May 2026 with the world premiere of his visionary, transcultural opera crypt_ at the Munich Biennale.
